Affiliate disclosure

The deals move. The tests don't.

Every affiliate arrangement on proxy.report lives here, dated and audited. Rankings on the site come from the same test data everything else uses. If an unaffiliated provider outperforms an affiliated one, the unaffiliated one ranks higher. Full stop.

Current state

Where I stand with each provider.

Ground rules

What a deal is, and isn't, allowed to do.

  • An affiliate deal cannot change a test-run number, a per-site row, a vendor split, or a ranking. The scripts run the same way regardless.
  • An affiliate deal cannot promote a provider on a best-of page above one that outperforms it on the underlying data.
  • Every page that judges a specific provider carries a sidebar widget stating whether I earn a commission on that provider. See the widget on any review or report tab.
  • When a deal changes, a dated entry is added to this log. Old entries stay untouched.
  • If a provider I earn from loses on the numbers, they lose on the page.

Where this shows up on the site.

  • Every provider's review + report tab carries an "Is This Report Genuine?" sidebar widget reading the same data as this page.
  • Every best-of page carries an "Is This Ranking Genuine?" widget, one line per ranked provider, with the current deal status.
  • The methodology page covers what the test does and doesn't measure. Anything on the report tab traces back to those ten steps.
